Cooling tower engineering
Service & maintenance
Keep essential equipment performing with planned servicing and preventative maintenance.
Plan maintenance around the whole tower.
A cooling tower is a connected system. Mechanical wear, restricted water distribution and deteriorating internal components can each affect how it operates. A useful maintenance scope considers these areas together, alongside access and the demands of the plant.
ENG-TECH supports servicing, condition inspection and remedial planning for packaged towers and larger mechanical-draft installations. The starting point is your equipment, its service history and the issues your team has observed.

Scope of work
Support where it is needed.
01
Mechanical equipment
Inspection, servicing and replacement options for fans, motors, driveshafts, couplings and gearboxes. Alignment and vibration observations help inform the work required.
02
Internal components
Review fill media, drift eliminators, air inlet louvres and distribution equipment as part of the agreed inspection scope.
03
Condition & next steps
Record accessible equipment condition and identify remedial priorities so that repairs can be planned around your operating requirements.
From a service visit to a planned programme.
Existing records, photographs and previous inspection findings help establish a starting point. We discuss the scope, access arrangements and shutdown requirements before work begins. Where inspection identifies further deterioration, repair or replacement can be considered as a separate, clearly defined item. Cleaning requirements can also be coordinated with mechanical works.

Planning your project
Questions worth asking.
A clearer brief helps us identify a practical next step.
Can you support an existing tower from another manufacturer?
We supply original equipment or equivalent parts for a range of cooling towers. Share the manufacturer, model and component details so that we can assess the application.
Does servicing include cleaning and disinfection?
Cleaning and mechanical servicing are distinct activities. We can discuss a combined scope, with the extent of each activity agreed for your system.
Can repairs be planned around a shutdown?
Tell us your proposed dates and access constraints early. The work sequence and component lead times need to be considered before the programme is agreed.
