Cooling tower engineering
Cleaning & inspection
Cleaning and inspection services for evaporative cooling equipment.
Cleaning informed by the condition of your system.
Cooling tower cleaning needs a defined scope and suitable access. ENG-TECH’s services include cleaning and disinfection, inspection of internal components and reporting on remedial areas identified during the work.
Depending on the equipment and agreed method, work can include pack removal and reinstatement, cleaning of drift eliminators and louvres, and sump or pond cleaning. Where pack removal is impractical, the suitability of in-situ cleaning can be assessed.

Scope of work
Support where it is needed.
01
Cleaning & disinfection
Discuss pre-cleaning and post-cleaning disinfection alongside the physical cleaning scope and site requirements.
02
Internal inspection
Endoscope or borescope inspection can help examine areas where direct viewing is restricted, subject to access.
03
Remedial follow-through
Use the condition findings to plan component repairs, replacement or a broader refurbishment.
Look beyond the visible surfaces.
The packing, distribution equipment, eliminators, louvres and collection areas all need to be considered when agreeing the scope. The technical sheet describes sump and pond cleaning using specialist removal equipment, as well as pack handling. Method, isolation, water-management arrangements and reinstatement need to be coordinated with the people responsible for the site and system.

Planning your project
Questions worth asking.
A clearer brief helps us identify a practical next step.
Do the fill packs have to be removed?
This depends on the equipment, access and cleaning requirements. Pack removal and reinstatement can form part of the scope; where removal is impractical, alternative methods need assessment.
Can you inspect difficult-to-reach areas?
Endoscope or borescope inspection is available where appropriate. Its usefulness depends on access and the parts of the tower that need to be examined.
What happens if damage is found during cleaning?
Condition findings can identify remedial areas for further assessment. Component replacement or refurbishment can then be scoped around the findings.
